NHL Rumors: 2 Possible Landing Spots for Tyler Ennis
Tyler Ennis is hoping to return to the NHL for the 2023-24 season. He will likely need to sign a PTO before potentially earning a deal, so let's discuss two clubs that could consider giving him a tryout.
Edmonton Oilers: The Edmonton Oilers stand out as a possible PTO landing spot for Ennis. He is a former Oiler, so that could help his case. Furthermore, the Oilers could use some help in their bottom six, so perhaps they could look to take a chance on him. They already have Sam Gagner and Brandon Sutter, two veteran forwards, on PTOs, too.
Calgary Flames: The Calgary Flames also should in the PTO market this year. It is apparent that their bottom six could use a jolt, so it could make sense for them to give Ennis a tryout. If he performed well during it, he would be an option for their fourth line and could even see time on their second power-play unit.
