NHL Rumors: 2 Possible Landing Spots for Tyler Motte
Tyler Motte is a solid bottom-six forward, but at the time of this writing, he has yet to land a contract for the 2023-24 season. However, when noting that he can play all three forward positions and plays a steady defensive game, things should change on that front. Let's discuss two teams who could consider signing him now.
New York Rangers: Motte has been a deadline acquisition for the New York Rangers in each of the last two seasons. They clearly like the player, and it is easy to see why. He fits perfectly on their fourth line, and it is why they should not be ruled out as a landing spot for him.
Calgary Flames: The Calgary Flames need help in their bottom six, and Motte could be a player that they take a flier on because of it. He would fit quite nicely on their fourth line and be a key contributor to their penalty kill if signed.
We will need to wait and see if either of these clubs sign Motte before the start of the season from here.
