NHL Rumors: 2 Potential Landing Spots for Brian Elliott

Veteran goaltender Brian Elliott is still a free agent with one month until the start of the regular season. Due to this, there is a good chance that we will see him settle for a PTO or league-minimum contract. Here are two teams who could consider bringing him in.

Tampa Bay Lightning: The Tampa Bay Lightning could end up taking a shot on Elliott again. They have not found a proven NHL backup to replace him yet. Due to this, adding Elliott on a PTO could make sense, as he would create some competition for the spot with Jonas Johansson.

St. Louis Blues: Another one of Elliott's former teams, the St. Louis Blues, could also consider bringing him back. Joel Hofer is expected to be the team's backup heading into the season, but if he struggles, it would not hurt to have Elliott as another goalie option. Thus, maybe a PTO could be on the way from St. Louis.
