Philadelphia Flyers Close to Re-Signing Forward

While speaking with Philly Hockey Now's Chuck Bausman, Philadelphia Flyers president Keith Jones said that the team is close to signing Morgan Frost to a contract.

Frost is one of the few remaining restricted free agents still looking for their next deal. The 2017 first-round pick is certainly due for a raise, as he took a notable step forward in his development during the 2022-23 season.

Frost, 24, appeared in 81 games for the Flyers in 2022-23, posting new career highs in goals (19), assists (27), and points (46). It was a huge step in the right direction for the Aurora native, and his next contract should reflect that.

In 158 career NHL games, Frost has 26 goals, 43 assists, and 69 points.

We will need to wait and see what kind of contract Frost lands from here. When noting that he is becoming a key part of the Flyers' top six, perhaps Philadelphia could look to sign him to a contract with decent term.
