Predators Rumors: Juuse Saros Trade Buzz Picking Up

In a recent article for The Athletic, Joe Rexrode wrote that Juuse Saros is a player whom the Nashville Predators could move before the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline passes.

Rexrode noted a Saros trade would only happen if the Predators were out of the playoff race around the deadline. With that, he wrote that Predators GM Barry Trotz would need to be fully sold on Yaroslav Askarov being the Predators' long-term answer in goal.

Saros would give the Predators a massive return. Not only is he an elite netminder at this stage of his career, but he also carries an affordable $5 million cap hit until the end of the 2024-25 season. Thus, he would be more than a rental for any team that acquires him.

Saros has been no stranger to the rumor mill since last season, and it will be intriguing to see if Nashville ends up moving him this season from here.
