Rangers Star Artemi Panarin Sidelined With Injury
The injury bug is continuing to hit the New York Rangers, as star winger Artemi Panarin is dealing with a lower-body injury. At this juncture, he is labeled as day-to-day.
The Rangers have run into some injury trouble during the early days of training camp, as fellow star Mika Zibanejad and top prospect Brennan Othmann are both dealing with injuries themselves. Now, Panarin is the latest Ranger to be sitting out due to injury.
Panarin, 31, is gearing up for a big 2023-24 season. The star forward had a strong regular season in 2022-23, posting 29 goals and 92 points in 82 games. Needless to say, if he suffered a setback and missed regular-season time, it would be far less than ideal for the Blueshirts.
Filip Chytil also left practice with an upper-body injury is expected to be out day-to-day as well. The young center is a big breakout candidate for the new season.
Alas, here's to hoping that Panarin and Chytil both recover quickly and are good to get back into action in a few days.
