St. Louis Blues Make Decision With Nick Ritchie

The St. Louis Blues have released winger Nick Ritchie from his professional tryout (PTO) contract.

Ritchie, 27, signed a PTO with the Blues late into the offseason after not being able to find a home in free agency. Unfortunately, his tryout has not resulted in a deal with the Blues, and now he will be hoping to land a deal or PTO elsewhere before the completion of training camp.

Although Ritchie did not land a deal from the Blues, there is a chance that another team could consider him. After all, he is a decent bottom-six forward who can produce a bit offensively and plays a very physical game. In 74 games last season split between the Arizona Coyotes and Calgary Flames, he had 13 goals, 26 points, and 218 hits.

Alas, it will be intriguing to see if any other team gives Ritchie a chance to earn a contract from here.
