Alex Nylander & Several Others Placed On Waivers

With the regular season quickly approaching, teams are trimming their rosters, leading to several waiver placements. Here are the latest players available for the taking:

Out of this bunch, Alex Nylander is perhaps the most intriguing. The 2016 eighth-overall pick appeared in nine games last season for the Pittsburgh Penguins, scoring one goal and adding an assist.

The Penguins also placed veteran winger Andreas Johnsson on waivers. Teams looking for a bit of forward depth for their bottom six could take a chance on the winger. He had 35 points in 71 games with the New Jersey Devils back in 2021-22.

Devin Shore is another player who could get some consideration on the waiver wire. He proved to be a decent depth forward for the Edmonton Oilers last season.

Alas, we will need to wait and see if any of these players end up getting claimed off of waivers from here. If not, they will join their AHL affiliates for the start of the season.
