Anaheim Ducks Bench Star Against Blue Jackets
The Anaheim Ducks got a big overtime win against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday (Oct. 24), but things were far from perfect. Star forward Trevor Zegras was benched for the third period and overtime due to poor play.
Not a single shift for Trevor Zegras in the third period, which is mildly concerning given that Anaheim was chasing a goal.

Last shift came without about three minutes left in the second. No injury, just a very strong message sent by Greg Cronin.#FlyTogether
Zegras, who is fresh off of signing a three-year, $17.25 million contract with the Ducks before the season, has struggled noticeably during this young season. In six games thus far, he has just one assist and an even rating. When noting that he is coming off of a 65-point season, this kind of production is certainly underwhelming. With that, it did not help that he had several turnovers against CBJ.
Zegras will now look to have a big response game for the Ducks against the Boston Bruins on Oct. 26.
