Anaheim Ducks' John Gibson Leaves Game Injured
Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson left tonight’s (Oct. 30) contest against the Pittsburgh Penguins early after suffering an upper-body injury and did not return.
Gibson's injury occurred when the Pittsburgh native robbed future Hall of Famer Sidney Crosby with an outstanding save. However, the marvelous save has, unfortunately, forced Gibson to miss the rest of this contest alone. Yet, when noting that he was unable to get back into the game, it also seems quite possible that he will miss more time from here.
Gibson has had a decent start to the season, so it is certainly bad news that he now has an injury. With that, he is one of the Ducks' most important players, so this does not help their chances of staying competitive during the beginning stages of the season.
We will now need to wait and see how much time Gibson ends up missing from here.
