Blue Jackets Activate Zach Werenski, Place Forward On Waivers
Great news for the Columbus Blue Jackets, as star defenseman Zach Werenski has been activated off of injured reserve. However, forward Liam Foudy has also been placed on waivers in response to this move.
Werenski has been sidelined since after the Blue Jackets' season opener. When noting that he is their best defenseman, it is quite apparent that his return is outstanding news. He will once again slot on their top pairing and see time on both their power play and penalty kill.
As for Foudy, he is an intriguing player to see hit the waiver wire. The Blue Jackets notably drafted him in the first round of the 2018 NHL Entry, so there certainly could be some interest in him on the waiver wire. This is especially so when it comes to rebuilding teams.
We will need to wait and see how much of an impact of Werenski makes from here and if Foudy ends up getting scooped up off of waivers.
