Bobby McMann & 2 Others Placed On Waivers
Bobby McMann (Toronto Maple Leafs), David Rittich (Los Angeles Kings), and Alex Barre-Boulet (Tampa Bay Lightning) have all been placed on waivers.
McMann, 27, appeared in 10 games last season with the Maple Leafs, where he had one assist. He was excellent in the AHL with the Toronto Marlies, however, posting 21 goals and eight assists in 30 games. He could get consideration on the waiver wire because of his very low cap hit.
Rittich was aiming to be the Kings' backup goalie, but he did not make the cut. One team who could consider taking a chance on Rittich is the Tampa Bay Lightning. They could use another goalie with Andrei Vasilevskiy out.
As for Barre-Boulet, he was gunning for a bottom-six spot on the Lightning's roster but fell short. Barre-Boulet has been claimed off waivers before and is a consistent point-producer at the AHL level.
We will need to wait and see if any one of these three gets claimed from here.
