Boston Bruins Lose Matt Grzelcyk to Injury
While speaking with reporters following their win against the Florida Panthers, Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery said to reporters that Matt Grzelcyk is likely to miss the next few weeks.
Grzelcyk suffered an upper-body injury during the first period of the Bruins' contest against the Florida Panthers. He left the game and did not return to action.
Grzelcyk is Charlie McAvoy's defensive partner and sees a ton of playing time, so this is not good news for the Bruins. However, they will now need to adjust without him in their lineup.
The Bruins are likely to call up a defenseman, with players like Mason Lohrei, Jakub Zboril, and Ian Mitchell being some of their options.
Here's to hoping that Grzelcyk has a speedy recovery and we will need to wait and see how well the Bruins do without him in their lineup from here.
