Canadiens Rumors: 3 Teams Linked to Cayden Primeau

In a recent Off The Record column, Jimmy Murphy wrote that the San Jose Sharks, Los Angeles Kings, and Philadelphia Flyers are all interested in Montreal Canadiens goaltender Cayden Primeau.

It is not a secret that the Habs have a surplus of goalies with Primeau, Sam Montembeault, and Jake Allen all under contract. Thus, Primeau’s name is picking up some steam.

The Sharks and Flyers are two rebuilding teams that certainly are in a position to take a chance on a young goalie with promise like Primeau. Meanwhile, Los Angeles needs a goalie badly, so it is understandable that LA has him on their radar.

We will need to wait and see if one of these three clubs ends up landing Primeau at some point during this season from here. On paper, they all look like potential fits for the promising young goalie, but time will tell if the Habs end up trading him this season.
