Canadiens Rumors: Sean Monahan Becoming Trade Candidate

Although the Montreal Canadiens have had a strong start to the season, they are rebuilding and will be sellers at the deadline. With Sean Monahan off to a hot start and having an expiring contract, he is already standing out as a prime trade target for this season.

If Monahan can stay healthy and continue to produce well, he could land the Habs a big return before the deadline passes. He has the potential to, as he has had many excellent seasons in the past. Now that he is healthy again, Monahan has looked like the top-six forward he was during his Calgary Flames days.

Teams in need of some help down the middle are likely to call the Canadiens about Monahan this season. With that, he would also be a big addition to a contender’s power play as well.
