Capitals Rumors: T.J. Oshie Becoming Trade Candidate

According to Colby Cohen, there is a good chance that a contender will express interest in Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie at the trade deadline.

The Capitals are coming off a poor 2022-23 season, and expectations are not particularly high for them this season because of it. If the Caps end up having another bad season, Oshie could certainly be made available for the right price.

Oshie comes with plenty of experience and is still an effective forward at the NHL level, so he certainly could get some attention on the trade market. With that, he also has a Stanley Cup on his resume, which is something that teams certainly take note of.

We will now need to wait and see what happens with Oshie from here. There is a long season ahead of us, and the Capitals could surprise some folks and be a real playoff team again. However, if they are not, do not be surprised if Oshie generates some interest this spring.
