Vegas Golden Knights To Be Without Zach Whitecloud For "Months"
Brutal news for the Vegas Golden Knights, as key blueliner Zach Whitecloud underwent hand surgery on Thursday, and could be lost to the team for several months.
SinBin sources have indicated this is a hand injury and it could take as long as January before he returns.

That being said, Whitecloud has been a quick healer in the past, so hopefully it's quicker. https://t.co/tMDdX6uDp4
The injury was suffered in a preseason game on Sept. 25th; the team is labelling the physical defenseman as "week to week", but SinBin sources today suggest it could be January before the 4th-year player is back. That certainly sounds more like "month-to-month". Three of them, in fact.
Whitecloud has been snakebit by the injury bug frequently the last couple of seasons, including a fractured wrist, a broken foot, and a lower-body injury that kept him out for two months last season.
He will be missed as Vegas opens its season next week as the defending champions, as he and D-man Nic Hague formed a formidable duo in last year's playoffs, with a combined +27 rating, on the way to helping lead the Golden Knights to the Stanley Cup.
