Detroit Red Wings Call Up Jonatan Berggren

The Detroit Red Wings have called up Jonatan Berggren to their NHL roster. 

This news comes after it was announced that forward Robby Fabbri will be out for the next four weeks due to a lower-body injury. This Fabbri injury has now opened the door for this Berggren call-up, and he will be looking to impress during it.

Berggren was expected to make the Red Wings' roster out of training camp but surprisingly did not. However, he now has the grand opportunity to impress the Red Wings. If he performs well, it certainly seems possible that he could stick around for quite some time on their NHL roster. 

Berggren was effective for the Red Wings last season, as the 23-year-old winger had 15 goals and 28 in 67 games. We will now need to wait and see how he builds off this rookie season with the Red Wings during this latest call-up from here.
