Flames Rumors: 2 Potential Landing Spots for Chris Tanev

The Calgary Flames are continuing to lose games, and their chances of being sellers this season is starting to increase. Defenseman Chris Tanev is already garnering some buzz as a trade candidate because of it, so let’s discuss two clubs who try to land him this season.

Vancouver Canucks: The Canucks have been solid this season and have openly been looking to add to their defensive group. With Tanev being a very familiar face and having chemistry with captain Quinn Hughes, they could consider a reunion with him. On paper, the fit is there, but time will tell if they actively pursue him.

New Jersey Devils: The Devils could use some help on their right side after losing Damon Severson this offseason. Tanev would be a great addition to their bottom pairing because of this and give them another solid penalty killer. Thus, they certainly would make sense as a potential landing spot for Tanev.
