Hurricanes Receive Huge Boost for Sharks Game

Exciting news out of Carolina, as star forward Andrei Svechnikov is set to make his season debut for the Hurricanes against the San Jose Sharks.

Svechnikov has been out of action since mid-March due to a torn ACL, but now he is set to return for the Canes. This is great news for the Hurricanes, as he is one of their top players, and they could use more offense. With that, they have been off to a rocky start this season, so the hope is that Svechnikov will give them the boost to help change that.

In 64 games last season, Svech had 23 goals to go along with 55 points and a plus-8 rating. Getting that kind of production in the lineup again will be huge for the Canes, and it will be fun to see him back on the ice because of it.

With Svechnikov returning to the lineup, gritty winger Brendan Lemieux will be a healthy scratch.
