Kraken's Andre Burakovsky to Miss Significant Time

The Seattle Kraken will be without one of their top forwards for a good chunk of time, as Andre Burakovsky is set to miss six to eight weeks due to an upper-body injury.

This is brutal news for a Kraken team that is already off to a horrific start. After making the playoffs last season, the Kraken have taken a notable step back so far this campaign. At the time of this writing, they have a 1-4-1 record and only 11 goals scored. Losing Burakovsky will not help them at all in this aspect.

Burakovsky has been hit with the injury bug as of late. Last season, he only appeared in 49 games for the Kraken, posting 13 goals and 39 points. Now, after missing almost half the season in 2022-23, he is going to miss significant time yet again.

Here's to hoping that Burakovsky has a speedy recovery without any setbacks from here. With that, it will be interesting to see if the Kraken can turn things around without the top-six forward.
