LA Kings Make Series of Roster Moves
The Los Angeles Kings have placed forward Viktor Arvidsson on long-term injured reserve. With that, they have called up Alex Turcotte and Brandt Clarke to the NHL, while Arthur Kaliyev and Alex Lafferiere have been sent down to the AHL.
Arvidsson's LTIR placement means that he will miss at least 10 games and 24 days of action. This is less than ideal, as he is one of the Kings' top wingers and provides plenty of offense when playing at his highest level.
Turcotte and Clarke are two of the Kings' top prospects, so their call-ups are certainly notable. Assuming that they get into game action, they each will be looking to make some noise and show Los Angeles that they are NHL-ready.
It will be interesting to see how these roster moves impact the Kings from here, and here's to hoping that Arvidsson has a speedy recovery and can return as soon as his LTIR stint passes.
