Los Angeles Kings: Best Addition & Worst Subtraction of 2023 Offseason

The 2023-24 regular season is rapidly approaching, much to the delight of hockey fans. Due to this, we here at NHLTR are starting a series going over each team's best addition and worst subtraction of the summer.

In this latest edition of the series, let’s take a look at the Los Angeles Kings.

Best Addition: Pierre-Luc Dubois

The Kings made a massive addition during the summer when they acquired Pierre-Luc Dubois from the Winnipeg Jets. He is set to be a key part of their top six, and he is now a part of their core. With the Kings looking to become legitimate contenders, bringing in a high-impact forward like Dubois should help this come to fruition.

Worst Subtraction: Joonas Korpisalo

If there is one thing about the Kings' roster of the season, it is their goaltending. This was the case last season as well until they acquired Joonas Korpisalo from the Columbus Blue Jackets at the deadline. However, he proved to just be a rental for them, and Los Angeles is certainly going to miss having a legitimate starter on the roster.
