John Klingberg's upper-body injury is said to be minor, but it's now been five days off the ice for him.
This is certainly hard news to hear, as Timmins was having himself an excellent preseason. He memorably put together a four-point night against the Buffalo Sabres. In the process, he was starting to look a potential option for their bottom pairing, but now he. unfortunately, will be sidelined for quite some time.
Timmins, 25, has certainly dealt with injury trouble over the years, and now this is the latest.
In 25 games last season with the Maple Leafs, Timmins had two goals and 14 points. He also appeared in two games with the Arizona Coyotes in 2022-23 before his trade to Toronto, where he did not record a point.
Here's to hoping that Timmins' recovery is a smooth one, and that we can see him back on the ice in the near future.
