Mic'd Up Video: Evander Kane Questions Flames' Toughness For All To See & Hear

As if the dreadful start to the season after yet another loss wasn't enough, the Calgary Flames got called out on national TV by a mic'd up Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane, right in the heat of battle.

After a little scrum developed following a Kane hit delivered on Nazem Kadri into the boards, listen to the Oilers forward question the Flames' toughness, for all to see and hear:

"What are you gonna do? What is anybody here going to do?" Kane barks at all the Calgary players surrounding him.

Both teams have been off to rocky starts this season, but the Oilers had the last laugh on this night, downing Calgary 5-2, with Kane himself leading the way with a goal and two assists. The Flames have now lost five straight, and it can be argued that Kane's comments certainly hit close to home.

With the win, Edmonton moves into a tie with Calgary with five points, but own a game in hand. The Oilers are now 2-5-1 while Calgary is 2-6-1, and if it weren't for the winless San Jose Sharks, would be dead last in the Pacific Division.

“We gotta keep believing,” Flames forward Mikael Backlund said after the latest loss. “We have a really good team here. I believe in the guys. We have to stick with it. Play with the effort we had tonight and clean some things up, we’re going to win games eventually.”
