Montreal Canadiens Call Up Joel Armia

The Montreal Canadiens have called up Joel Armia to their NHL roster.

Armia was placed on waivers at the beginning of the season after failing to make the Canadiens' roster.

However, with Kirby Dach out, he is now back with the NHL squad, and he will need to take advantage of this great opportunity.

Armia, 30, had a down season with the Canadiens in 2022-23, posting seven goals and seven assists in 43 games played.

If Armia does well with the Canadiens during this call-up, it should have a good chance of being a permanent one. When noting that he has been an effective part of the Canadiens' bottom six in the past, it certainly seems possible that he could make an impact for them moving forward.

We will need to wait and see how well he does for the Habs from here.
