Montreal Canadiens Give Brutal Update on Kirby Dach
Some players just have terrible luck. Kirby Dach of the Montreal Canadiens is one of these players as the team announced Dach will be out long term after suffering a significant injury.
Kirby Dach has a significant injury. He's out long-term. Still being diagnosed, more coming in the next few hours or days--according to Habs.

I've been thinking about this all day.. Best case scenario Kirby Dach shit his pants when he was hanging over the boards like that..

Worst case scenario, he injured his knee. I don't know about anyone else but I'm really hoping Dach just shit his pants..#GoHabsGo pic.twitter.com/9pOFgD2vrl
Dach isn't expected back in the Canadiens lineup for several months. The Habs forward suffered this significant injury during Montreal's latest matchup with the Chicago Blackhawks when Hawks' defenseman Jarred Tinordi rode Dach over the visitor's bench. It looked somewhat innocent at first, however Dach suffered a serious lower-body injury on the play.
Dach left the game and of course did not return and now heads to LTIR at some point. The 23-year-old has suffered a number of injuries throughout his career, including missing 92 games since entering the league in 2019-20.
Dach is coming off injuries last season as well, appearing in 58 games and collecting 38 points. Montreal moves on with Nick Suzuki and likely Alex Newhook moving over to centre in the number two hole.
