Nashville Predators: Best Addition & Worst Subtraction of 2023 Offseason

The 2023-24 regular season is finally here, much to the delight of hockey fans. Due to this, we here at NHLTR are starting a series going over each team's best addition and worst subtraction of the summer.

In this latest edition of the series, let's take a look at the Nashville Predators.

Best Addition: Ryan O'Reilly

The Predators made some strong additions this summer, including Luke Schenn and Gustav Nyquist. However, Ryan O'Reilly is their top addition. They have added an excellent two-way center who produces offensively and provides some grit with it. Furthermore, he will work on both their special-team units and be a big leader in their room.

Worst Subtraction: Matt Duchene

The Predators turned some heads when they bought out Matt Duchene this summer. His expensive contract was the main reason why. However, even with this being so, he is still an effective top-six forward who was among their point leaders last season. Due to this, they may end up missing him this season when the goals get tougher to get.
