New York Rangers: 3 Trade Targets for 2023-24 Season
The 2023-24 season is almost here. As a result, we here at NHLTR are starting a series discussing three trade targets that each team should consider looking at during the campaign.
The New York Rangers will be the team focused on during this edition of the series.
Steven Stamkos: If the Tampa Bay Lightning decide that they do not want to keep Steven Stamkos past this season and he ends up being open to a trade the Rangers would surely be a strong fit for him. They can use another star in their lineup before the playoffs, and Stamkos would give them just that.
Jason Zucker: Although the Arizona Coyotes made a solid move signing Jason Zucker, there is a good chance that he will be a rental at the deadline. This is because he only signed a one-year deal, and the Coyotes are not expected to be a playoff team. With the Rangers potentially needing help in their top six, Zucker stands out as a player whom they could consider targeting.
David Perron: If the Detroit Red Wings are once again out of the playoff race of the deadline, David Perron could be an intriguing target for the Rangers. Even at this point in his career, he is a solid second-liner who chips in offensively and provides some grit in the process.
