NHL Rumors: 2 Possible Landing Spots for Alex Chiasson

After being released from his professional tryout (PTO) contract by the Boston Bruins, Alex Chiasson will be looking for work elsewhere. Let's go over two clubs who could consider taking a look at the veteran forward.

Detroit Red Wings: The Detroit Red Wings brought in Chiasson near the end of last season after he performed well for their AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins. He was a strong fit with Detroit following this, scoring six goals and adding three assists in 20 games. If the Red Wings want a bit more depth, perhaps a reunion with Chiasson could be in the cards.

Montreal Canadiens: Perhaps the Montreal Canadiens could consider bringing in Chiasson for some added forward depth. He would be a solid option for their fourth line and power play. With that, his experience could make him a great mentor for the club's younger players.
