NHL Rumors: Patrick Kane Generating Interest

According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, there is currently a lot of interest in future Hall of Famer Patrick Kane, but he is waiting to see how teams start. With that, he noted that the Florida Panthers were heavily interested in Kane during the offseason, while the Buffalo Sabres are "the team to watch."

Kane is currently recovering from offseason surgery, but he has made significant progress since. As a result, the three-time Stanley Cup champion is expected to be ready fairly soon, and that will surely lead to more teams calling.

Kane is coming off of a bit of a down season for his standards, and his injury trouble was the main reason why. After a 92-point campaign in 2021-22, Kane had 21 goals and 57 points in 73 games. This is not bad offensive production, but it was significantly lower than the norm from him. Now, he will be looking to turn things around.

We will need to wait and see if Buffalo, Florida, or another club ends up being the eventual landing spot for Kane from here.
