Ottawa Senators: Best Addition & Worst Subtraction of 2023 Offseason
The 2023-24 regular season is finally here, much to the delight of hockey fans. Due to this, we here at NHLTR are starting a series going over each team's best addition and worst subtraction of the summer.
In this latest edition of the series, let's take a look at the Ottawa Senators.
Best Addition: Vladimir Tarasenko
The Senators' top addition of this past offseason was Vladimir Tarasenko. He will serve as a key part of their top six and be a big contributor to their power play. When playing at his best, he is a complete star, and he will look to be just that for the Sens as they push to finally get back into the playoffs.
Worst Subtraction: Alex DeBrincat
The Senators' most notable subtraction of the offseason was Alex DeBrincat. Yes, they have no choice but to move him, but they certainly will miss having a star sniper like him in their lineup. However, he made it clear that he would not stay put, so the Senators were wise to move him instead of losing him for nothing next summer.
