Ottawa Senators Bring Back Lassi Thomson

The Ottawa Senators have re-claimed Lassi Thomson off waivers from the Anaheim Ducks.

The Senators recently lost Thomson through waivers after the former first-round pick did not make their NHL roster. However, after failing to earn a roster spot on the Ducks, Thomson was put back on the wire, and he is a Senator again.

Thomson will now be looking to have a strong season with the Senators organization and prove that he can still develop into his full potential. The 23-year-old defenseman has played in just 18 NHL games over his career, where he has posted five assists and a minus-10 rating.

If the Sens were the only team who put a claim in on Thomson during this most recent waiver placement, they can send him straight to the AHL without needing to worry about him being claimed.

We will need to wait and see what the Senators do with the young defenseman from here.
