Panthers' Ekblad & Montour Getting Closer to Returning

Good news out of Florida, as defensemen Aaron Ekblad and Brandon Montour are returning to practice for the Panthers tomorrow (Oct. 29) in non-contact jerseys.

Ekblad and Montour both had offseason surgery and are expected to be out until at least November. However, with these two now returning to practice, it seems quite possible that they could be back into action American Thanksgiving, as reported by George Richards.

Getting Montour and Ekblad back before on the early side of their estimated recovery timeline would be excellent for the Cats, as they are their two best defensemen, and they are in an immensely deep Atlantic Division.

We will need to wait and see how these do recover from here, but now that they are returning to practice, their returns seem to be approaching quickly.
