San Jose Sharks Sign 2023 First-Round Pick

The San Jose Sharks have signed forward Quentin Musty to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Musty, 18, was selected by the Sharks with the 26th overall pick of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-2 winger is coming off a strong 2022-23 season with the Sudbury Wolves, posting 26 goals, 78 points, and 71 penalty minutes.

Musty is expected to start the season back with the Wolves, but it is clear that this youngster has a bright future ahead of him. He has been an effective point producer at the junior level and provides a nice degree of grit a lot with it. This is exactly why the Sharks snagged him with one of their first-round picks this season.

We will need to pay close attention to Musty this season, and it will be fun to see if he becomes a key part of the Sharks' roster later down the road. He certainly has the potential to be.
