Senators Place Bernard-Docker, Sokolov & Others On Waivers

The Ottawa Senators have announced that Jacob Bernard-Docker, Egor Sokolov, Matthew Highmore, and Jacob Larsson will be placed on waivers today (Oct. 3).

Bernard-Docker, 23, was selected by the Senators in the first round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. He is not the former first-rounder whom the Senators placed on waivers, as they also lost Lassi Thomson to the Anaheim Ducks a few days ago. The same could very well occur with Bernard-Docker now.

Sokolov, 23, is another notable Senator hitting the waiver wire. The 6-foot-3 winger had a strong season in the American Hockey League (AHL) this year, posting 21 goals and 59 points in 70 games. He also had a goal and an assist in five games with Ottawa.

Highmore and Larsson are two depth players with NHL experience who could get some interest. However, they are not as notable as Bernard-Docker and Sokolov being available for the taking.
