Toronto Maple Leafs Sign PTO Forward After Strong Training Camp

After a strong training camp, forward Noah Gregor has been rewarded with a 1-year, $775,000 contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Prior to signing a PTO with the Leafs this training camp, Gregor had spent the first four years of his career with the San Jose Sharks after being drafted in the fourth round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

The 25-year-old showed promise after the 2021-22 season when he eight goals and 23 total points across 63 games that year.

He then played for Team Canada at the 2022 IIHF World Championship that year, scoring two goals and three points over three games.

The Sharks decided not to bring Gregor back this spring, after he put up 10 goals and 17 total points over 57 games last season.

Gregor is a strong, puck-hounding forward who brings a physical presence to the lineup when playing. Over the last two seasons, he has racked up 215 hits over 120 games, along with 275 shots.

He'll be a nice addition to the Leafs' bottom-six.
