2 Players Placed On Waivers

The Boston Bruins have placed forward Patrick Brown on waivers, while the Minnesota Wild have done the same with defenseman Dakota Mermis.

This is the second time this season where the Bruins have placed Brown on waivers. The 31-year-old signed a two-year, $1.6 million contract with the team, and the expectation was that he would be their fourth-line center. However, he has since become a depth forward for the club. In six games this season with the Bruins, Brown has zero points and a minus-1 rating.

Mermis, on the other hand, has had a decent season with the Wild, posting two goals and five points in 13 games. However, after going four games in a row without a point, the 29-year-old is on the waiver wire.

Teams looking to improve to their depth could consider bringing in one of these two. We will need to wait and see what happens on that front from here.
