2 San Jose Sharks Forwards Will "Definitely Be Moved" By Trade Deadline

The San Jose Sharks are currently navigating a challenging season with a record of 4-15-1 and a lack of road wins, making it increasingly likely that they will be active sellers at the upcoming trade deadline.

While last year featured Timo Meier as a highly sought-after trade target, this season, it appears that the spotlight may shine on two depth players: Anthony Duclair and Mike Hoffman.

Both Duclair and Hoffman hold contracts that are set to expire, making them prime trade candidates for teams seeking offensive firepower as they gear up for the playoff push.

Duclair, with a recent track record of playoff success, and Hoffman, leading the Sharks in goal scoring despite the team's overall struggles, bring solid assets to the table.

Duclair was limited to just 20 regular season games last year due to injury, however, the year prior to that, he put up a career-best 31 goals and 58 points across 74 games played with the Florida Panthers.

So far this season, Hoffman has put up six goals and eight total points over 20 games played. Last season, with the Montreal Canadiens, the 34-year-old scored 14 goals and 34 total points across 67 games played.

As the trade deadline approaches, it's increasingly probable that these two forwards will be on the move as the Sharks look to reshape their roster and build for the future. Photo Credit: Robert Edwards-USA TODAY Sports
