Avalanche Announce Brutal Pavel Francouz Injury News
The Colorado Avalanche have announced that goaltender Pavel Francouz will be out for the rest of the 2023-24 season due to a lower-body injury.
In their announcement, the Avs also made it known that Francouz will return to Czechia for the remainder of the year as well.
Francouz did not make a single appearance in the 2023-24 season before this announcement, so this will go down as a lost season for the 33-year-old netminder. This is certainly tough news to hear.
The Avs will now need to consider their options in the net. Adding a backup to replace Francouz may be a wise decision, especially when noting that the Avs have had some trouble with their goaltending this season.
Nevertheless, this is brutal news. Here's to hoping that Francouz can get back into action next season and have a successful recovery.
