Blackhawks Rumors: 2 Teams Eyeing Corey Perry
The Chicago Blackhawks are rebuilding and are expected to be sellers at the trade deadline because of it. With Corey Perry only being signed for the season, he is naturally viewed as a prime trade candidate heading into the deadline. Due to this, let's discuss two teams who are expected to pursue him.
Toronto Maple Leafs: Perry has long been connected to the Maple Leafs over the years, and that is likely to continue this season. This is especially so when looking at how their fourth line has performed this season. Bringing in Perry would be an upgrade over Ryan Reaves, as he would provide more offense. With that, he would give them another good leader.
New York Rangers: The Rangers are expected to target bottom-six forwards this season, and Perry stands out as a solid option for them. He would fit perfectly on their fourth line and could even see time on their second power-play unit because of his solid net-front presence ability.
