Blue Jackets Make Controversial Move With Johnny Gaudreau

Columbus Blue Jackets bench boss Pascal Vincent made a controversial move during the club's loss last night to the Washington Capitals, benching star winger Johnny Gaudreau for the final 16 minutes of the game.

Following the game, Vincent had this to say: "I didn’t like his game. I’m coaching a team, and the guys that are going are going to play.” This is not the first time this season that Vincent has either benched or scratched a notable player on the Blue Jackets' roster, and Johnny Hockey likely will not be the last player.

Gaudreau will now look to bounce back from his tough performance. When noting that he is one of the top players in the sport, there is a good chance that he will.

Gaudreau has had a slow start to this season thus far, posting one goal and four points and 11 games. Let's see if he picks up his play from here. He is due.
