Blue Jackets Rumors: Eric Robinson Becoming Trade Candidate

The Columbus Blue Jackets currently have Eric Robinson in the American Hockey League (AHL), and he is starting to emerge as a legitimate trade candidate because of it.

Elliotte Friedman mentioned Robinson in his latest 32 Thoughts article. The NHL insider noted that Robinson is in the AHL because of the Blue Jackets' cap space, and he is curious if a move could occur centering around the forward because of it. However, he also noted that other teams have limited cap space, so a potential move is hard.

Robinson has shown over the past few seasons that he can be a decent bottom-six forward who can produce offensively, so there could be a market for him as we get closer to the deadline. He would benefit from a change of scenery at this juncture, so we will need to wait and see if the Blue Jackets end up moving him from here. When injuries occur more, do not be surprised if something does come to fruition.
