Boston Bruins Make Series of Roster Moves
The Boston Bruins have made a series of roster moves. Defenseman Matt Grzelcyk has been placed on LTIR, while Mason Lohrei, Ian Mitchell, and Parker Wotherspoon have been called up to their NHL roster.
It was announced by head coach Jim Montgomery that Grzelcyk would be out for a couple weeks, so this LTIR placement is not surprising. However, it also means that Grzelcyk will now need to miss at least 10 games and 24 days of action before returning at a minimum.
Out of the three call-ups, Lohrei is the most notable. He is one of the Bruins' top prospects, and he is set to make his NHL debut against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Fans will surely keep an eye on him, as he has a very bright future.
Mitchell and Wotherspoon also should see time during these call-ups, as Charlie McAvoy has been handed a four-game suspension. Let's see how the Bruins perform with all of these changes from here.
