Minnesota Wild Hire New Head Coach
It didn't take long for the Minnesota Wild to replace the expunged Dean Evason, as reports are that they've moved quickly to hire veteran NHL coach John Hynes to take over behind the bench.

Hynes was fired by the Nashville Predators after the end of last season, and is still on the Preds payroll as his contract ran through this season.
The 48-year-old was 134-95-18 in three-plus seasons in Nashville, and now takes over a seriously struggling Wild team, who were rightfully blasted by their veteran forward Pat Maroon after their 7th consecutive loss on Sunday.
In his 9-year coaching career in the NHL, Hynes has a 284-255-63 record, having been the bench boss for five years with the New Jersey Devils before going to Nashville.
Hynes will have his hands full, as the Wild are 5-10-4, having dropped 13 of their last 16 games, and sit in 7th place in the Central Division.
