Buffalo Sabres Tage Thompson to Miss 'Significant Time'
Terrible news out of Buffalo as Sabres superstar Tage Thompson is apparently going to miss significant time according to his head coach Don Granato.
Thompson had a rough night on Tuesday against the Boston Bruins, getting tangled up with Charlie McAvoy in the first period and then taking a shot off the hand later in the game. From the sounds of it there could be some broken bones and now Thompson heads to the IR for likely at least six weeks.
The Sabres are toughing it out to a 7-8-1 record on the season and have been linked to signing Patrick Kane in the very near future. Kane wants to win now and losing Thompson in Buffalo could damper their chances of having Kane sign on the dotted line.
