Canadiens Get Boost To Their Lineup With Return Of Veteran

The Montreal Canadiens have been hit with multiple injuries already this season, but one player is coming back to their lineup to provide support. Christian Dvorak will make his season debut against the St. Louis Blues after being activated off of the long-term injured reserve.

This is Dvorak's third season with the Canadiens after the team had to acquire him in a trade to make up for the loss of Jesperi Kotkaniemi. The first round pick that the Canadiens got as compensation for Kotkaniemi being offer sheeted was used to bring in Dvorak. He hasn't exactly been a second line center for them, but fits in well in Montreal on the third line.

His return to the lineup comes at an ideal time for the Canadiens as Rafael Harvey-Pinard is expected to miss a couple of games and is day-to-day with an injury. Dvorak will probably find himself centering the veteran third line that will likely be broken up with the recent lineup changes. We may even see him pop in on the second line to give that a new look. Either way, the Canadiens are happy to have some reinforcements back in the form of the veteran Dvorak.
