Canucks Change Directions: Looking To Trade New Forward Instead Of Garland
The Vancouver Canucks are one of the best teams in the NHL this season, but that hasn't changed their outlook on looking to move a forward. While the rumors have surrounded Conor Garland for the longest time, that has now changed.
The Canucks appear to be looking to move Anthony Beauvillier instead of Garland now. Head coach Rick Tocchet likes Garland's game this season despite just one goal and three assists in 12 games. Beauvillier has two goals and five points from the bottom line, so that should tell you a fair bit about how he's seen within the organization.
There is a logjam up front, which is part of the reason a $4.15 million AAV player is on the fourth line. Teddy Blueger is close to returning to the lineup and Nils Hoglander has played well. While the Canucks are playing above where they should be as a team, now is the time to make changes to make themselves better.
