Devils' Nico Hischier Another Step Closer to Return

The New Jersey Devils could be getting back their captain soon, as Nico Hischier returned to practice today (Nov. 20).

This is very big news for the Devils, as Hischier is one of their biggest stars. He is an elite two-way forward who contributes solid offense mixed with excellent defensive play. They have missed him in the lineup immensely because of this, but this is the first big step for him to return.

Hischier last played on Oct. 27 against the Buffalo Sabres, so he has been out for quite some time. Now, the hope is that he suffers no setbacks now that he is on the ice.

Hischier was off to a slow start before getting injured, posting two goals in seven games. However, when noting that he had an 80-point campaign in 81 games last season, he is sure to heat up once he is back in action.
