Devils Provide Bad Jack Hughes Injury Update

The New Jersey Devils have announced that superstar center Jack Hughes will be out week-to-week due to an upper-body injury.

Hearing that Hughes is set to miss time is not surprising, as the Devils' top star left the club's last game early after a scary collision into the boards. Thankfully, the club confirmed that he avoided the worst-case scenario, but at the same time, he still is going to miss a decent chunk of time.

Hughes has been off to a truly spectacular start for the Devils and was already in the MVP hunt. However, this injury will now put his bid on pause, and it is certainly disappointing. In 10 games so far this season, he has five goals to go along with 20 points.

Here's to hoping that Hughes has a speedy recovery from here, and we will need to wait and see how well the Devils do without him in their lineup.
